She will be missed.

My Gramma, Bernice McCormack passed away yesterday morning, with my dad and aunt by her side. She lived an amazing life in her 90 some years (she never really liked talking too much about age so we will leave it at that). She was one of the most independent feisty women, I have ever known. You could never tell her no, and she would never let you forget what she thought you were capable of.

I am sure she is up in heaven right now telling stories, making people laugh and of course looking for the next good bargain. My gramma was frugal with many things, but not with her love and loyalty.

She will be missed.

Rock Star Class at the Red Bee tomorrow

Love this picture of Ken and Tyler, not the best photo in town, and i love it anyway. It is the slice of life moment in time that counts. I love that Kennedy and her friends have such great school spirit. They were all kinds of ready for Friday nights game...which by the way RBV kicked some booty 51-35.

Saved By Art

I am a true testament of this statement " Saved by Art" For those of you that know me you know i grew up in a less than perfect enviroment. Art saved me...it became my drug of choice, my escape, my coping skill. Recently is was perusing Two Peas when i came across this layout done by Jan Hobbins using my Intentions Collection. It is about her son Reece Hobbins an artist who participates in SBA / Saved By Art a non profit organization, that helps other charitable organizations through fashion and art. It is so cool to see art helping others in ways i never knew existed...He is truly living with Intention..that is inspiring!

Need Some inspiration?

I am constantly on the look out for new inspiration, ideas, things to feed my muse. Ideas for my home, for my art, for my kids....recipes, music. You name it i am constantly searching for good stuff. This morning i came across this on Poppy Talk What a cool way to display the zillion photos i take weekly! I also got a great little note this morning for a blogger called An Indian SummerI have always loved all things indian...from the colors in the decor to the curry on my plate. And doesn't this frying pan from Urban Outfitters just make you want to cook?

I know i have said it before, so bear with me as i say it again. I am pretty proud of this girl. Running several miles a day for conditioning, cheer practice 4 times a week, honors classes...it is so awesome to see her blossom into this very alive teenager, that is grabbing life by the horns and living it. She is going to be facing some medical testing over the next few weeks, we need some questions answered. Some descisions will need to be made. I am sure she is a bit scared...but you would never know. She is, for sure, a force to be reckoned with.

Who could resist a can of Go Girl!

Is this cute or what? Who would have ever thought of packaging girl power in a can?.....I am the queen of trying energy drinks. Stay tuned for a review of it later.
